Adeline Wagahoff
Adeline Wagahoff, 96, Nevada, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born May 12, 1913, in Jasper, MO, to Walker W. Hubbard and Ethel Anna Johnson Hubbard. She married Clarence J. Wagahoff on February 27, 1936, and he preceded her in death in 1942.
Adeline grew up in the Jasper area and graduated from Jasper High School in 1931. She worked as an administrative officer for the Farmer’s Home Administration in the state headquarters in Columbia, MO. She came to Nevada in 1988 following her retirement. Adeline was a member of the Pine Street Baptist Church in Nevada.
Survivors include one son, Cletis Wagahoff and his wife Elizabeth, Maggie Valley, NC; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. R. E. Groom, Nevada, MO, and Wynona Probert, Jasper, MO; one brother, Fred J. Hubbard, Joplin, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents; two brothers, Walter and George Hubbard; and five sisters, Irene Lee, Madge Wood, Dolores Weeks, Carolyne Kitterman, and Delaine Moyer.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010, with Gary Rose officiating at Hackney Cemetery near Jasper, MO.
