Elizabeth Jewell Loudermilk
Elizabeth Jewell Loudermilk, 84, Bronaugh, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada following a lengthy illness. She was born December 18, 1925, in Deerfield, MO, to Wesley and Carrie Anise Teel James. She married Claude Loudermilk on April 7, 1946, in Buffalo, MO. He preceded her in death in 1988.
Jewel grew up in the Deerfield area and graduated from Richards High School. She was a member of the Church of God Holiness in Deerfield, MO. Jewel lived in Buffalo and Lewisburg, MO, from 1946 until 1955 when she moved to Bronaugh. She and her husband ran a dairy farm for many years and also raised chickens. She loved flowers.
Survivors include four children, Gary Loudermilk and his wife Ann, Bronaugh, MO, Terry Loudermilk, Bronaugh, MO, Claudine Barker, Nevada, MO, and Donna Lamb and her husband Burnie, Ft. Scott, KS; six grandchildren, Terrance Loudermilk, Angela Lamb, Michelle Johnson, Victoria Scotten, Dakota Lamb, and Clayton Lamb; four great-grandchildren, Chantel, Kimberly, Tanner, and Trayton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; one brother, Emmil James; and three sisters, Naomi Combs, Pearl Klontz, and Meda Schoonover.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada, MO 64772, with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Deerfield Cemetery, Deerfield, MO. Friends may call now and until the hour of service and the family receives friends from 7-8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.
