Grace E. Miller

Grace E. Miller, 71, Nevada, MO, passed away on Saturday July 17, 2010 at Joe Clark Residential Care in Nevada, MO. She was born November 11, 1938 in Providence, Rhode Island to Raymond H. Booker and Mary Elizabeth Smith Booker. She married Walter J. Miller on October 7, 1956, in Nevada, MO. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1984.

Grace came to Missouri at a young age and lived most of her life in Nevada. She was a member of the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Nevada, MO. Grace’s hobbies were crocheting and woodworking.

Survivors include her four children, Mary Minor, Nevada, MO, James Miller and his wife Fran, Conway, AR, Rebecca Ellis, Kingsport, TN, and Suanne Kerley, Hiddenite, NC; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her father, Raymond Booker, Massachusetts; three half-brothers, Bruce Smith, Gary Smith, and Arthur Smith; one-half sister, Ruth Cooper, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and her mother.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Ferry Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Engelbrecht officiating.  Interment will be at Sharon Cemetery in Drexel, MO.  Family visitation will be held from 9:30–10:30 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service.   Friends may also call now and until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Pentecostal Assembly Church in Nevada in care of the funeral home.
