Jerry Bartlett

     Gerard Armand “Jerry” Bartlett, 85, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Freeman West in Joplin, MO.  Jerry was born June 20, 1937 in New York, NY to Herbert and Ada K. (Hodge) Bartlett. He married Leslie J. Carroll on April 14, 1979 in Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C. and she survives of the home.

     Jerry was raised in New York City and graduated from Sewanhaka High School Class of 1955 in Floral Park, NY. He served in the United States Marine Corp for three years. Jerry was initiated to Union, IATSE Local #4 in Brooklyn, on June 1, 1959. He was a third-generation stage hand, as was his father, his career spanning 50 years. He was a master carpenter with the American Ballet Theater for 25 years, and also worked on Broadway for 20 years. Jerry has resided in Nevada since 1993.

     In addition to his wife, Leslie, he is survived by three children, Deborah Thomson (Donald), Orlando, FL, Michelle Gutierrez, New York, NY, and Jason Erny (Jennifer), Massapequa, NY; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Lorraine Bartlett, one sister, and four brothers,.

     Interment with Military Funeral Honors will be held in the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY on Long Island. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the All Saints Episcopal Church in Nevada.
