Arthur William Ellifrits

     Arthur William Ellifrits, Jr., 68, formerly of Vernon County, MO passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at his home in Kingsville, MO following a lengthy illness.  Art was born March 26, 1951 in Nevada, MO to Arthur (Hap) and Mildred L. (McGinnis) Ellifrits. He was united in marriage to Phyllis A. Claypool on December 31, 2014 in Warrensburg, MO and she survives of the home.

     Art grew up in Vernon County attending both Nevada and Metz schools.  He worked in the trucking business most of his life retiring from Midwest Tow and Transport in 2016. Art lived in the Kansas City area for a number of years and resided in Kingsville, MO since 2005. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

     In addition to his wife Phyllis, he is survived by one son, Clinton Ellifrits of Republic, MO; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Pilcher, Nancy Smith, and Wanda Ellifrits Hawkins; one brother, David Ellifrits; several nieces and nephews including his nephew, Jason Ellifrits.  

     Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 25, 2019, at Click Cemetery in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
