Danita Kay Bright, 59, Nevada, MO passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at her home in Nevada. Danita was born December 27, 1959 in Knob Noster, MO to Billy Joel Evans, Sr. and Janette Lee (Long) Evans.

Danita was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High Class of 1978. She attended nursing school at Ft. Scott Community College and received her degree as a Registered Nurse. Following her school years she worked as an RN in various area hospitals including Nevada Regional Medical Center and Heartland Hospital.

Danita was preceded in death by a sister Deborah Klinksick. She is survived by four children; Darrick Crooks (Brooke) Columbia MO, Dakota Bright (Whitney) K.C. MO, Darcy Bond, Nevada, and Darian Steele, Joplin MO; three granddaughters, Baylor Crooks, Callan Crooks, and Laken Crooks; parents, Bill Sr. and Janette Evans, Nevada; sister, Barbara Bell (Gary) Clovis, NM; brother Billy Evans Jr., Nevada, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Community Center in Nevada, MO.
