June Allene Smith

     June Allene Smith, 86 of Bronaugh, passed away at her home on Monday, December 24, 2018.  June was born on June 30, 1932 in Milford to Allen and Golda (Lloyd) Miller.  On July 2, 1948 she was married in Nevada to Lyle L. Smith and he survives of the home.  June grew up in the Milford area and attended Lamar, High School.  In 1952, June and Lyle moved to Hillsboro, OR where he farmed and also worked in a lumber mill there while June stayed home to take care of their children and later grandchildren.   After 45 years of living in Oregon, the couple came back to Bronaugh, MO in 1997 where they have resided ever since.

     Survivors in addition to her husband Lyle include two children, Barbara Ann Ray of Bronaugh and Lynn Smith of Lamar, three grandchildren, Stephanie Ayers and her husband Marvin of Sheldon, Phillip Ray and his wife Kelsey of Bronaugh,  and Jennifer DuPont and her husband Chris of Thornton, CO, and ten great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Jeff Ray.

     Graveside services for June will held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday December 31, 2018 at Worsley Cemetery in Bronaugh with Felix Salazar officiating.  The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
