Kenneth Silver Obituary

Rev. Kenneth Burton Silver, Sr., 62, Sheldon, MO passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 following a period of ill health. Kenneth was born to Kenneth Dean and Fran (Bennett) Silver on March 3, 1956 in Topeka, KS.

Rev. Kenneth was the founder and a minister for “Spirit of the Wind” Ministries out of Jay, OK. He traveled across the United States with his ministry Brothers on his Harley Davidson (his pride and joy) spreading the gospel of the Lord, Jesus Christ. Kenneth was one of five hundred ministers that spread the gospel to the highways, byways, and the streets; to the less fortunate and the homeless.  He loved preaching the gospel and following the will of the Lord. The Spirit of the Wind ministers traveled together building churches, and giving out bibles at revivals.  They had one of the largest food pantries in Oklahoma and during the largest power outage in Jay, OK they gave food and assistance to the whole community in need.  Kenneth was one of the most passionate, caring, loving, and remarkable men who had the most overwhelming compassion for his fellow mankind. Rev. Kenneth was so loved by so many family, friends, and grateful strangers. He will be missed by all. Kenneth is no longer in pain, no more suffering, and has gone on to be with his Lord.  Amen.

Kenneth is survived by companion, April Jones of the home; three sons, Kenneth D. Silver, Jr., Topeka, KS, John Paul Pierce (Jillian), Palo Pinto, Texas, Eugene Pierce (Nicky), Grand Junction, CO; six grandchildren; his father Kenneth D. Silver, Nevada; beloved sister, Belinda Janak, Topeka, KS; cousin (raised as brother), Dan Hublard, Dallas, TX;  ex-wife and valued friend, Diane Silver, Birch Tree, MO; nieces, nephews, extended family, and special friends, including, J.D. Blackmore, Jay, OK, Tommy Transue, Nevada, and  Clifford Smith, McGregor, TX; and a special thank you to Loretta Murray.
