Lana Sue Richardson, 72 of Walker, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, January 12, 2019 following a brief illness.
Lana was born in Stockton, MO, the daughter of Samuel Hesikiah and Wilma Mae Turner Rosenbaum. She attended schools in Stockton and graduated from high school. Lana will be remembered by her family as a very loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed the finer things in life like, canning food from the garden, sewing, crocheting and mastering the art of playing “Bingo”. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, camping, hunting, and fishing. Her children appreciated her for accepting and loving their friends as they were growing up. At Lana’s house there were no strangers. She was involved in the organization of the Rosenbaum family reunions.
Survivors include four daughters, Laura Ann White (Mark) of Lamar, MO, Pamla Scholes (Herbert) of Walker, MO, Karen Sharp (Warren) of Long Lane, MO, Patricia Hall, Oronogo, MO; four step-children, Billy Joe Richardson, Kentucky, Pamela Jo Richardson, Stockton, MO, Todd Richardson, Nevada, Victoria Richardson, Texas; 18 grandchildren, Gregg, Pamela, Cybille, Shelly, Casandra, Samuel, Nick, Joseph, Crystel, Kala, Kyle, Nitsha, Lily, Steven, Katelyn, Nathaniel, Joshua, Landon; 21 great-grandchildren; and a good friend, Ron Forgure.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Joann Pyykola; one brother, Samuel Rosenbaum, Jr.; and one stepson, Christopher Richardson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Nevada with Dr. Kevin Daugherty officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
