Larry Albert Harms, 57, Kearney, MO (formerly of Schell City) passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Larry was born February 16, 1961 in Nevada, MO to Albert Harms, Jr. and Betty Louise (Blakely) Harms.
Larry grew up on a farm in rural Schell City and graduated from Schell City High School Class of 1979. Following high school Larry worked all of his life in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. For the past 17 years he has lived and worked in the Kansas City area.
Larry was known by all for his enjoyment of life, he was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, he loved cooking, and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Laura Harms and Jeff, Kansas City, MO, Christina Coyner, Springfield, MO; and Bryn Haddix, Omaha NE; one granddaughter, Lillian Clark; one sister, Linda Robinson and her husband Art, Bellamy, MO; nieces, Lori Majors, Nevada, MO, Shyla Delp and her husband Darren, Round Rock, TX; nephew, Michael Robinson, Bellamy, MO; several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Deborah Eilene.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Schell City Christian Church in Schell City. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City. The family will receive friends from 2-4:00 p.m. at Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City.
