Mary Garver Obituary

Mary Lue Garver, 84, of N. Kansas City, Missouri, and formerly of Metz, MO, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at The Village of Cameron in Cameron, Missouri.  She was born September 18, 1934 in Horton, Missouri to Adrian Jacob and Madelyn N. (Robison) White.

Mary Lue was married to Chester Garver on March 18, 1962 in Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on January 24,1989.  She was raised in Metz, MO, attended Metz High School before moving to Wyandotte County, KS her senior year.  She lived most of her adult life in the Kansas City area.

Mary Lue is survived by three daughters: Penny Garver of Liberty, MO, Michelle Brown and her husband Craig of Chillicothe, MO, and Veronica Knickerbocker and her husband Jeff of Martensdale, IA, one daughter-in-law Laurel Garver of Kansas City, MO,  12 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Larry Garver and Bill Garver, her parents, her stepfather Duane Hopkins, one brother, and two sisters.

Visitation will be at Ferry Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.  Graveside services will be held the same day at 2:00 pm, at Balltown Cemetery, Horton, MO with Bob Beaver officiating. Friends may call from 8:00am on Monday until 1:30pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute to the Horton Methodist Church in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
