Norman Radde Obituary

     Norman Lee Radde, 94, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada, MO. Norman was born July 11, 1924 in Harwood, MO to Albert and Laura  (Adcock) Radde.  On October 13, 1943 he was united in marriage to Betty Lou Sisney and she preceded him in death on June 22, 1995. He then married Josephine (Jo) Dille in September of 1996 and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2006. On July 3, 2006 he married Betty Lou Hawkins and she also preceded him in death on February 23, 2015.

 

     Norman was born and raised in the Harwood area and attended Walker schools. After high school, during WWII, Norman worked in Salina, KS  in the Production of  B-29 Bombers where he Test Piloted the planes coming off of the assembly line. Norman returned to Nevada and worked for Norman Sheet Metal for a short time before going into the painting business.  He began his career as a heavy industrial painter but his career evolved into high quality home interior painting and decorating.  He was proud of his work at the Old Nevada City Hall where he installed the mural. Norman attended numerous churches in Walker and Nevada area throughout his life. His memberships included Clintonville Masonic Lodge #482 in El Dorado Springs, Scottish Rite, Painter’s Union Local #9 in KCMO, and BPO Elks #564 in Nevada. Norman was an active participant in numerous civic events, parades, and community service events. He had a great sense of civic pride.

 

     Survivors include one son, Gerald Radde and his wife Lenna, Marrietta, OK; four grandchildren, Matt Radde, Sheridan Radde, Kelly McAlister, Justin McAlister; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Radde, Nevada; numerous nieces and nephews; and “special friends”, Darrell (Doug) Hickman and his wife Frieda, Milo, MO. In addition to his wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Linda McAlister.

 

     Funeral and Masonic Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Lawrence Cripps officiating.  Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada.  Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.

 

     Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
