Rhonda Kay Farmer

 Rhonda Kay Farmer, 65, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at her home in Nevada.  Rhonda was born February 9, 1953 in Nevada. She was raised by her parents Francis Edward “Duck” Kiger and Virginia Mae (McKenzie) Kiger. Rhonda married her soul mate and love of her life, Ronald L. Farmer on July 23, 1971 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2018.  They were blessed with two children.

     Rhonda was a lifelong resident of Nevada. She attended school in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1971.  Rhonda worked over 20 years at Nevada Medical Clinic. For the past 17 years she has worked as the Director of Administration at White Ember Financial Planning in Nevada (formerly Hoffman Financial Resources). She attended LifeWalk Church and was a past member of Rotary, Soroptimist, and Nevada/Vernon County Chamber of Commerce Board. Rhonda enjoyed reading, the fine arts, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

     In addition to her loving husband, Ron, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Kathy Zoglmann, and Linda McCormick; and brothers, Clarence Peterson, Jr., and Glenn Kiger.

     She is survived by two children, Kimberly Dayle Vandiver and her husband Mark, St. Louis, MO, and Ronald Lee Farmer, Jr. and his wife, Alicia, Bella Vista, AR; five grandchildren, Zacharey Ryan Vandiver, Phoebe Madison Vandiver, Ashlyn Paige Farmer, Breckyn Claire Farmer, and Miles Andrew Farmer; three brothers, Jack Kiger and his wife Tammy, Trenton, MO, Troy Kiger and his wife Katie, Raymore, MO, Randall Kiger, Nevada; several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Dr. William Cox officiating.  Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
