Sue Ann Burnett

     Sue Ann Burnett, 59, Nevada, MO, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.  She was born September 16, 1953, to Howard R. Burnett, Sr. and Mildred Ann Kist Burnett in Lexington, MO.

     Sue was raised in Kansas City, MO, and attended Kansas City Schools.  She moved to Nevada in 1974 where she worked for Nevada City Hospital and later Nevada State Hospital for a number of years as a cook’s assistant.

     Survivors include two sisters, Sherry Burnett, Nevada, and Cynthia Caviness, Nevada; one brother, Billy Burnett, Independence, MO; two sons, Michael Burnett and Joseph Burnett, both of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Sue was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Junior Burnett.

     Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2013 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO, with Pastor Roger Beach officiating.  Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada.  Friends may call now until the hour of service with visitation to be held Sunday, July 28. 2013 from 4-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
