Tommy Tim Pike Jr. 47, of Nevada passed away Thursday, January 9, 2019 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer that was diagnosed in 2011 as esophageal cancer.
Timmy was born June 16, 1971 in Nevada, MO, the son of Tommy T., Sr. and Diane Quackenbush Pike. He attended schools in Nevada and later Colorado. While in Colorado he prospected for gold with his father before returning to the Nevada area. Timmy was an avid race car driver and skilled mechanic who raced at Wheatland, Nevada and other tracks. He used these skills in becoming a trophy winner. He enjoyed the outdoor life which included camping, hunting and fishing. Timmy had a passion for fireworks but his main passion in life was spending time with his grandchildren and his companion of eighteen years, Tina Taylor. He will be dearly missed by his family and special friends.
Timmy was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Gary Pike and is survived by his companion Tina Taylor of the home; two daughters, Cherylin Cramer (Travis) KC, MO, and Kaitlyn Riley, Nevada; a son, Zachary Taylor, Center, MO; three granddaughters, Kaydence Cramer, Arabella Cramer, and Anabeth Cramer; grandson Dravin Cramer; two brothers, Jeff Hendrix (Patti) Nevada and Jay Pike (Debbie) Nevada; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and special friends. Memorial services will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 in the Ferry Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Vernon County Cancer Relief Fund in care of the Ferry Funeral Home.
