Victoria Corpuz Thomas, 64, of Nevada passed away March 10, 2019 at St Joseph Medical Center in Kansas, MO following a period of illness. Victoria was born December 23, 1954 in Manila, Philippines, the daughter of Serafin and Magdalena Bocalig Corpuz. She graduated from Cavite National High School and later earned an accounting degree from Prince George’s Community College. Victoria married Charles Douglas Thomas October 28, 1977 in Subic Bay Naval Base in the Philippines. The couple lived at Point Magu, CA and Washington D.C. before settling in Nevada in 2008. Victoria worked for US Bank Home Mortage retiring in February of 2018. Victoria was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Josegundo Corpuz, and a grandson Cassius Jason Banks, and is survived by her husband Charles of the home, daughter, Marie Philebar (Darren Sr.) of Smithdale, MS; son, John Thomas Sr. (April) of Woodbridge, VA; daughter, Lisa Marie Banks (Mark II) of Laurel, MD; son, Gary Vaughn Thomas, of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren; Darren Jr. and Andrew (Philebar); John Nathaniel, Amaya Jaida, and Sanaa Ladora (Thomas), Nathan and Alexa ( McMillan); Cira Mirai, Ryleigh Giselle and Mark Generald III (Banks); Emily Thomas; great-grandchildren Layla and Jason Douglas (Philebar); mother, Magdalena Bocalig Corpuz, of Ft. Washington, MD; sisters, Elizabeth Corpuz Queen, of Silver Springs, MD and Florita Corpuz , of Oxon Hill, MD; brother, Bernardo Corpuz (Amelia) of Oxon Hill, MD; numerous extended family and special friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at St Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Peter Savidge officiating. Interment will follow in the Ft. Scott National Cemetery in Ft. Scott Kansas. Visitation will be 9:30 until 10:30 on Thursday at Ferry Funeral Home.
