Allan W. Palmer

         Allan W. Palmer, 75, of Nevada, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Nathan Richards Healthcare Center in Nevada. Allan was born March 25, 1948, in Nevada, MO.

     Alan attended Benton grade school and graduated from Nevada High School in 1966. While in Nevada he also attended First Christian Church and was a member of the Boy Scotts. Following high school, Allan went to California to “sow his oats”, he played the drums, and did accounting and tax work for various companies. He returned to Nevada in the late 70s for his mother’s funeral. He continued playing drums in a little band that was led by none other than Rob Walton, who is the eldest son of Sam Walton. Allan then returned to California where he spent most of his life. He later returned to Nevada to attend the 70th Birthday/Reunion and remained in town until his death. Allan was loved by all that knew him.  All of his buddies had nicknames, and his was thought to be a little derogatory, but he loved it! Rest in peace "Mouse".

     Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating.
