Brenda Kay Hoselton

   Brenda Kay Hoselton, 72 of Nevada, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at her home in Nevada following a lengthy illness.  Brenda was born on October 12, 1952 in Nevada to Herbert Guy Riggs, Jr and Betty Ann (Overton) Riggs.  She was married on January 11, 1974 in Nevada to Herman Webb Hoselton and he survives of the home.  Brenda was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1970.  She worked at the Nevada Medical Clinic and for Nevada TV Cable for a number of years,  then as a teachers aid for the Nevada schools before becoming a daycare provider in 1996 which she operated until her retirement in 2014. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Nevada.

    In addition to her husband Herman, Brenda is survived by three children, Tony Hoselton and his wife Becky of Nevada, Sonya Haller and her husband Brian of Nevada, and Angie Eads and her husband Chris of Ft. Scott, seven grandchildren;  Blake Hoselton(Hunter), Nevada, Hali Scharenberg(Matt), Nixa, MO, Brock Haller(McKenzie), Nevada, McKayla Woody(Travis), Moundville, Paxsten Eads, Kansas City, Riley Aguilar(Cristian), Nevada, and Brightin Eads, Ft. Scott, five great grandchildren, Hadley and Braylee Scharenberg, Brinley Hoselton, Brody Haller, and Olivia Aguilar.  Several nephews and nieces also survive.  Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Gerald L. Riggs, and a grandson, Brett Lynn Hoselton.

    Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating.
