Charles Eugene Baertschi

      Charles Eugene Baertschi, 72, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at his home in Nevada, MO. Charlie was born February 22, 1949 in Thayer, MO to Ernest and Lorene G. (Mills) Baertschi. He married Mary Lou Anderson on October 18, 1969 in Nevada and she preceded him in death on July 9, 2012.

     Charlie was raised in the Bronaugh area and graduated from Bronaugh High School Class of 1967.  He worked at Dahmer Electric for 28 years, and operated Charlie’s Electric from 1995-2019. Charlie was a member of the Nevada Elks Lodge.

     Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Eaton (Adam); two sisters, Shirley Ledford (Ray), Ft. Scott, KS, and Charlotte McCrory, Canal Winchester, OH; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Mary Lou, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother-in-law, Charles McCrory.

     Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating.  Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
