Connie Sue Capps

     Connie Sue Capps, 79, Moundville, MO, departed this life on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Connie was born September 29, 1944 in Moundville to Ralph L. and Iona V. (Taylor) Capps.

     Connie graduated from Bronaugh High School with the Class of 1962. Following high school, she worked for IBM for a time, then worked for Missouri Pacific Railroad for many years. During that time the Missouri Pacific Railroad merged with Union Pacific Railroad, where she continued working for some time.  In addition, Connie later worked at US Bank in Nevada.

     Connie was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Harbrucker; and a grandson, Evan Simpson. Survivors include two daughters, Gayleah Simpson, Mound City, KS and Roberta Mercer, Nevada; two granddaughters, Bethany Weber (Joe Hull), Ariel Simpson; great-grandchildren, Sadé, Millman, Arianna Millman, Zoey Hull, Bentley Hull, Kai Hull, and Rosely Hull; a brother, Jim Capps, Moundville; two sisters, Sandra Kay Odom (Tom), Derby, KS, and Roberta Warren, Nevada, MO; nephews, Andrew Cullum, Chris Cullum, Ethan Lewis, Isaac Lewis;  two great nieces, Kalysta Costillo (Anthony), and Alyssa Lewis; two great nephews, Vincent Lewis, and Darius Lewis; and a great-great niece, Violet Ann Costillo.
