     Darlene “Jackie” Klotz passed away into the arms of the Lord after along battle with cancer, surrounded by family in her home in Nevada, Missouri on June 18, 2020.  Born, Darlene Jackson, on September 16, 1934 to George Jackson and Nellie Matney Jackson at home in Delaware, Oklahoma.  Given the nickname Jackie by her father, this is who she became known as to her friends and family.

     In her earlier years Jackie enjoyed driving lady’s powder puff racing in Hoisington, Kansas, before relocating with her husband Melvin to the Vernon County area in the 1960’s.  Jackie worked for Fram for 32 years and Oats Transit for 15 years.  She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, bingo, gaming, and family gatherings.  A devoted wife, she was married to Melvin for fifty-nine years and was also a devoted mother.

     Jackie’s survivors include her husband Melvin, 82, of the home. Her children Sharon Cliffman and husband Lynn, of Nevada; Linda Fecht and husband Kurt, of Walker; Douglas Webb and wife Cindy of Carthage; Dale Klotz and wife Melissa of Nevada; Kelly Klotz and wife Kerri of El Dorado Springs.  She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, three nieces, and several great and great-great-nieces and nephews.  she is preceded in death by parents George and Nellie Jackson, and siblings Dallas Jackson and Pauline Boyle.

     The family is holding a memorial service at a later date. Donations may be made to the Vernon County Cancer Relief.
