Deborah “Debbi” Kay Yokley, passed away unexpectedly at her home, Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the age of 68. She was born January 7, 1955, in Emporia, KS to Marion George and Helen Marjorie (Albin) Richardson. Debbi was a home maker and had previously worked at the Nevada State Hospital. She liked to watch Joel Olsteen on TV. She also loved to babysit, play cards, crocheting, as well as Ms. Pacman.
Debbi is survived by two daughters; Amy Shaffer and her husband Rhyan, Butler, MO and Glenda Piatt and her husband Eddie, Nevada, MO; one brother, Donald George “Pete” Richardson, Emporia, KS; two sisters, Sue Arnold, Emporia, KS and Shirley Cook, Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Conner Piatt, Mason, Piatt, Elyshia Sneed, Tony Shaffer, Tyler Shaffer, Jeremy Shaffer, and Justin Shaffer; great-grandchildren, Tayler, Annabell, Victoria, Zadie, Oakley and Isabella. She was preceded by her parents, three sisters, Carol Mejia, Diane Tencyck, and Linda Potter; two grandchildren, Lloyd Huff and Timothy Shaffer.
The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Ferry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Deerfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.
