Dorothy Ann Cameron

     Dorothy Ann Cameron, 83, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at Nevada Regional Medical Center in Nevada. Dorothy was born July 5th, 1938 in Canton, IL to William C. and Ineta (Oatman) Roseboom. She was united in marriage to Kenneth E. Cameron on April 12, 1955 in Canton, IL, and he survives of the home.

     Dorothy started her working career as a telephone operator for General Telephone in Abingdon, IL. When General Telephone went dial, she worked for Admiral Corp in Galesburg, IL. In 1970, she moved with her husband and family to Nevada, MO where she worked at Montgomery Ward, Pohl construction, and at MoDOT from which she retired in 2008.  

     In addition to her husband, Kenneth, she is survived by one son, William (Karen) Cameron of Bennington, NE; one daughter, Deborah (Mark) Baxter of Cottage Grove, MN; five grandchildren, Regina (Chris) Wiseman of Springfield, MO, Eric (Amy) Cameron of Nevada, MO, Craig (Brittany) Cameron of Bennington, NE, Barry (Angela) Baxter of Seattle, WA, and Tobie Baxter of Cottage Grove, MN; eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Nathan, Sydney, Emree, Ty, Ryleigh, Eliza, and Georgie; one brother-in-law, Ronnie Cameron, Abingdon, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Shirley Price, and brother-in-law, Jack Price.  

     Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Laura Agee officiating. The family will receive friends from 9-10:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
