Elaine Marie Malcom

     Elaine Marie Malcom, 84, of Sheldon, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her home following a lengthy illness.  Elaine was born September 26, 1941in Nevada, MO to Jacob and Mildred Bobbett.  She was united in marriage to Donald Malcom on November 21,1961 and he preceded her in death on October 7, 2023.

     Elaine was born and raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1959. She was a homemaker and was also a bus driver for the Nevada R-5 School District from 1984-1999. She enjoyed square dancing, loved mowing, weed eating and tending to things around the family farm.

     Survivors include three children, Tamila Elaine Bobbett(Darren), Nevada, MO, Larry Malcom (Betty), Nevada, MO, Garry Malcom (Ginger), Sheldon, MO; two grandchildren, Hillary Rose (Zech), NE, and Kimberlee Oney (Dakota), Overland Park, KS; five step grandchildren, Jared Bobbett, Conner Bobbett, Ryan Bobbett, Tyler Bobbett, and Peter DeLise; three great-grandchildren Bailey, Brooklyn, Parker,  a brother, Devere Bobbett (Barbara), Rogersville, MO, and a daughter in law, Colleen Malcom, Tampa, FL.

     The family would like to extend a special thank you to Compassus Hospice and nurse Stefaney for their wonderful care.

     Elaine was proceeded in death by both of her parents; her husband, Donald Malcom; one son, Mark Allen Malcom; two sisters; and three brothers.

      A Graveside Service is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Newton Burial Park in Nevada with Pastor Bill Platt officiating.  Friends may sign the book, and pay their respects from now until 7:00 pm on Friday evening at Ferry Funeral Home.
