Elaine Marie Peavler, 92, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville, MO. Elaine was born July 23, 1930 in Nevada, MO to Frank E. and Dollie L. (Rapp) Howell. She was united in marriage to Robert L. Peavler on September 22, 1946 in Nevada, MO and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Elaine grew up in Nevada and attended Nevada High School. For a time, she worked at Nelly Don in Nevada. In 1959 she moved to California where she lived and worked until 1970. After returning to Nevada, she worked for Nevada State Hospital for a number of years. Elaine was a member of the Community Christian Church in Nevada. Memberships also included O.E.S., White Shrine, and Nevada Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include three children, Johnny Ray Peavler, Nevada, Marilynn Kadric, Lutz, FL, and Robin Peavler, Orange Park, FL; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Donna Patton (Larry), Derby, KS. In addition to her husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by one brother, Franklin Howell, and one sister, Ruth Merchant.
