Galen Thomas Carpenter

Galen Thomas Carpenter, 46, Clay Center, KS, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Dickinson, KS as a result of an automobile accident.  Galen was born on April 27, 1975 in Kansas City, MO to Merle Merion and Sharon Kay (Beasley) Carpenter.    He married Angela “Angie” Dawn King on November 28, 2008 in Belton, MO and she survives of the home.

Galen graduated from Clairemore High School in Clairemore, OK.   He has lived in Clay Center, KS for the past 5 years and was a welder.

Survivors in addition to his wife, Angie, and his father, Merle, include his four sons, Devon Carpenter, Brady Carpenter, Tristan Carpenter, and James Sullivan; siblings William Carpenter, Candy Ryan, Shelly Gale Dew and Angela Baker; one granddaughter, Anna Carpenter; and mother-in-law Pam King.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon, and father-in-law, Marty King.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO.  Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery, Barton County, MO.  The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
