Thurman Eugene “Gene” Ford, age 78, of Spickard, MO passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Gene was born January 29, 1943, in Kansas City, MO, to Thurman E. and Anna Mae (Lennox) Ford. He was a high school graduate and served his country in the United States Navy. He worked several years for General Motors in Kansas City before retiring. He enjoyed competition shooting as well as gun making, bass fishing, farming and traveling. Gene shot, International benchrest shooters, competing in the 600-yard and 1000-yard matches. He won Heavy Gun Group Aggregate at the 2017, 600-yard nationals in Memphis, TN. He was also involved in prairie dog trips and Varmint Hunters Association jamborees, and was also involved with the Vapor Trail Bullet Company

Gene is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Ford of El Dorado Springs, MO, and four grandchildren, Frankie, Jenna, Elizabeth, and Victoria. He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a private funeral service for Gene.
