Greta "Darlene" Cummings

Darlene Cummings, 81, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024 at her residence in Elkins, AR.  She was born on August 24, 1942 in Independence, KS to Homer Hugh and Ruby (Willis) Graves. 

Darlene was raised in Independence, KS and attended school there.  She was a homemaker most of her life.  She lived in Nevada, MO from 2005-2013 before moving to Northwest Arkansas to be near her family.

Survivors include her three sons, Richard Murphy, Warsaw, MO; Steve Cummings (Kim), Goshen, AR; and Damon Cummings (Linda), Gravitt, AR; four grandchildren, Rachael Linville, Joe Hatfield, Bo Hatfield, and Ethan Cummings; numerous great-grandchildren; and a brother, Houston Graves (Wanda), Sheldon, MO.  She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jacqueline Hatfield; a grandson, Calvin Cummings; and three sisters Joann Lindsey, Margie Yarborough, her twin Marlene Murphy, and a brother, Jimmy Graves.

A  visitation and viewing will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, MO.  Inurnment will be in Kings Cemetery, Washburn, MO at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
