Henry Smith

        Henry A. Smith, age 73, of Nevada, MO passed on September 10, 2021, after an illness.  He was born January 1, 1948, in Nevada, MO to Henry Kenneth and Hazel Irene (Miler) Smith.  He was a high school graduate and served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1972.

        On August 13, 1982, he married Barbara Hamlett in Miami, OK.  She survives of the home.   He loved hunting, fishing and junking.  Henry worked several years as a security guard at Camp Clark.

          Henry is survived by his wife, Barbara; one son, Danny A. Smith; two daughters, Dawn Marie Smith and Heather Gaither; two grandsons, Jordan Fritts and Shane Fritts; and a sister, Jacqueline Barrows. He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Patty Robb, Joe Smith, Della Faye Holman, Marilyn Spencer, Peggy Peterson, Kenny Smith, Debbie Haines, Frosty Smith and Jeffery Smith.

     The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2021, at Ferry Funeral Home.  Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Fort Scott National Cemetery with Military Honors.
