Janet Ruth Snead

     Janet Ruth Snead, 83, Nevada, MO passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. Janet was born July 6, 1939 in Schell City, MO to John T. and Clarcie E. (Andrews) Loveless. She was united in marriage to William Roscoe Snead, and he preceded her in death in 2004.

     Janet was raised in Schell City and later Joplin.  She attended school through the 8th grade and then helped her family on the family dairy farm in Nevada.  Janet was a member of the New Testament Church. She enjoyed being with her family and attending rodeos, was very patriotic and had a love of fireworks.

     Survivors include two children, Dale Snead, Nevada, MO, and Gwen Snead, Nevada, MO; four grandchildren, Jenna Cracraft (Jeremy), Moundville, Jessi Hall (Sage), Uniontown, KS, Jayne Snead, Nevada, MO, and Chelsea Ogburn (Jackson), Nevada, MO; five great-grandchildren, Laney Cracraft, Wyatt Cracraft, Chet Cracraft, Sylvia Hall, and Kalea Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Gail Snead; one son, Gene Roscoe Snead; an infant sister, Iris Irene; and a daughter-in-law, Trudy Snead.

     Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022 at Moore Cemetery in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 3-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 7th at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
