Janice Ellen Carter (Hamel), 64, Hume, MO passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2021. She was born on July 19, 1956 to the late Edward (Deceased April 24, 2005) and Janice Hamel (deceased January 30th, 2004) in Kansas City, MO. She married Freddie D. Carter and he survives of the home

Janice attended Wyandotte High School. Janice was such a loving person who had the heart of gold and would give her last to anyone in need. She was a hard worker who touched many lives of the people she came in contact with. She loved fishing, gardening, crocheting, and puzzles. Janice was a mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, sister, and a friend to many.

Janice is survived by her husband Freddie D. Carter (Hume, MO); children, Jennifer and Nicholas Carter; grandchildren Imone’, Emily, and Logan Carter; great grandchildren; JaMier & Ji’Aire Hooks (Kansas City, Kansas); siblings John and Rick Hamel (Shawnee, Kansas) She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives as well as friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Vicki Jo Shirley.
