Jeanette Jane Douglas

     Jeanette Jane Douglas, 47, Warrensburg, MO (formerly of Nevada) passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Jeanette was born October 18, 1976 in Nevada, MO to James Alan and Connie Jane (Hartley) Douglas.

     Jeanette was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1994. After two years at Fort Scott Community College, she graduated with an Associate’s Degree. Jeanette has worked for Information Management Services (IMS) in Mexico, MO in data entry for the past 8 years. She loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her spare time, she very much enjoyed gaming.

     Survivors include her son Alex Smith (Hailee), Carthage, MO; three grandchildren, Cain Smith, Astrid Smith, and Freyja Smith; her parents, Jim and Connie Douglas, Moundville, MO; two brothers, Rod Douglas (Leta), Moundville, MO, and Ben Douglas (Debbie), Moundville, MO; two sisters, Wendy Mitchell (Phillip), Kansas City, MO, and Nicole MaCree (Tony), Kansas City, MO; several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as her dear friends, Latasha Zabala and Vanesa Zabala, both of Warrensburg, MO.

     A graveside committal will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Moore Cemetery in Nevada with Ray Dean Scism officiating.
