Obituary
Jo Ann Gillette, 89, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Jo Ann was born August 5, 1933 in Kansas City, MO to Clem L. and Alice M. (Jenkins) O’Rear. She was united in marriage to Arthur Francis Gillette on May 16, 1953 in Kansas City, MO and he survives in Nevada.
Jo Ann was raised in Kansas City, MO. She lived in Kansas City and Warsaw most of her life. She and Art have resided in Nevada since 2006. Jo Ann was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
In addition to her husband Art of 70 years, she is survived by four children, William A Gillette (Cheryl), Nevada, Danny L. Gillette (Mary), Nevada, Sheri Sue Lewman (Jim), Lakeland, FL, and Diana Lynn Chambers (Eugene), Shawnee, KS; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, and one brother.
Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Salem Cemetery in Foster, MO with Elder Tim Claypool officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Salem Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 1, Foster, MO, 64745. Arrangements under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
