Kevin Black

      Kevin Patrick Black, 54, Stotesbury, MO passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at his home.

     Kevin was born December 18, 1969 to Enoch and Lois Black in Neosho, Missouri. He grew up in Cassville, Missouri where he fell in love with nature, camping, trout fishing, and all things outdoors.  In 1993, Kevin was united in marriage to Lori. He spent many years as a truck driver and traveled all over the United States. He also worked at Heartland, where he dedicated his time to helping misguided youth in his community. He loved trucking and the youth, but his passion was for dispatching. He worked for the Vernon County Sheriff's Office as a dispatcher for the last several years, where he helped people and developed lasting relationships with his fellow dispatchers and officers.

        Kevin enjoyed spending time with family and friends and cherished every memory made, including little league baseball, band concerts and competitions, camping, and impromptu family dinners. He was always there to show love and support. He left a legacy that will be cherished always and not forgotten by many.

     Kevin is survived by cherished friends and companions Delena and Micheal Grant of the home; wife, Lori Black; mother-in-law, Nancy Rogers; children, Jerri Black, Anthony-Amy Black, Amber-Waylon White, Candrah Black, Luke-Hannah Black,  William-Delia Taylor, Tearra Taylor, Appachey-Jessica West, Cynthia-Ethan Sease, McCayla Starbuck, and Austin Starbuck; grandchildren, Jacob, Malachi, Asher Black, Logan, Hayden, Autumn, Axle, Braelyn, Asher Taylor, Nakoda, Maxeen, Lukah, Braxton, and Teagen; brother, Douglas Black; sisters, Diana Rinehart, Gayle Yetter, Colleen Pierce and Dusty Black.

     Many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

     Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Enoch and Lois, Father-in-law, Hubert Rogers, grandson, Caysin, and his beloved chihuahua, Amelia.

     Kevin was loved dearly by many and will never be forgotten for his commitment to life and all he loved.

     Rest in our Lord's Arms Kev, we will take it from here. We love you. Farewell our dearest friend!

     Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
