Larry B. Dade, Jr., 76, of Schell City, MO, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO following a lengthy battle with cancer. Larry was born on April 3, 1944 in Nevada to William B. and Irene (Ijams) Dade. He married Cheryl Lunday in Miami, OK on May 6, 2012 and she survives of the home.
Larry was raised in Schell City and graduated from Schell City High School Class of 1962. He served in the U.S. Army with the Special Security Forces and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Larry drove a truck for over 25 years and also raised cattle with his dad. Larry very much enjoyed his time spent having coffee with his friends at the Madalyn’s Cafe.
In addition to his wife, Cheryl, survivors include his brother, Gary Dade and his wife Bobby, Nevada; his niece, Candi Williams, Victoria, TX; step-children, Barbara Lunday and her fiancé Gerrard Vickers, Nevada, Becky Lunday, El Dorado Springs, MO, and Jake Marcum and his wife Sarah, Nixa, MO; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, Schell City. Interment will follow in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Schell City. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Schell City. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home
