Larry Thompson

    Larry Patrick Thompson went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2024. He was 64 years old.   Larry was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 13, 1960 to Melvine and Anna Bell (Cates) Thompson.

    Larry was a man of many talents. He was a CNA in his younger years and did automotive work along with building his own home. Later in life he thoroughly believed in the phrase “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” He enjoyed collecting things and fixing them up or storing them until he decided what to do with them at a later time. His favorite items to collect were tractors and penguins.

    Larry is survived by his children Jacob Stevenson, Annabelle (John) Michalik, Samantha Thompson and grandson Curtis Ray Palmer IIII. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Melvine R and Gloria Jean Thompson and sister Barbara Kay Russel along with his nephews Mike Whorton Jr. and Dylan Russell.

    In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister Betty Jean Whorton and brother-in-law Larry Russell.

    There are no services currently planned. The family plans to celebrate his life in the upcoming year.
