Lesley Lenford “Lenny” Boin, 83, Nevada, MO, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2024 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nevada.
Lenny was born December 3, 1940, to Wesley Vernon and Mary C. (Miller) Boin in Kansas City, MO. They moved to El Dorado Springs, MO until after his father passed away in 1979, then he and his mother moved to Nevada. Lenny enjoyed gardening, bowling, riding his motorcycle, watching westerns on TV, and being with family and friends.
Lenny grew up on his family farm doing chores, working for neighbors, hauling hay, and mowing yards. When he moved to Nevada, he worked at Quality Products for many years. Lenny was loved by everyone and will always be remembered for his sense of humor and love for his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Lenny was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, his twin Wesley Larry, Kenneth Dale, and Harold Wayne; and one sister, Karen Mae Smith. Survivors include two sisters, Debby Short (Lane), Nevada, MO, and Patty Pritchett (Scotty), Walker, MO; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Thank you to those who took care of him while he was still living at home (Jeannie Baldwin and Dr. Spangler) and all those at the nursing homes who took very good care of him.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Scotty Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested in his name to Fostering Hope c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
