Linda Jean Briscoe, age 73 of Lamar, MO went to be with the Lord and her dearly missed loved ones on February 5th, 2026. She was born on November 22nd, 1952, in Oakland, CA to Harold Phillips and Lea (Robertson) Baier. Linda was united in marriage to Kyle Redman in September of 1972, and they had three children together, Tina Middleton (Redman), Kurt Redman, and Brandi Redman. Linda later went on to be united in marriage with Scott Briscoe in January of 1990.
Linda graduated from Fort Scott Community College alongside her mother-in-law Kay Briscoe, where they both obtained their RN license. She worked for many years at NRMC. Linda spent a couple of years as a travel nurse in Abilene, TX before returning to Nevada, MO where she spent the remaining years as a nurse at Heartland Behavioral Health.
She was extremely proud of her accomplishments. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with every ounce of her heart. Linda enjoyed making dresses for her daughters and granddaughters, crocheting, camping, dancing and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her three children, Tina Middleton (Doug), Kurt Redman, and Brandi Redman; her grandchildren, Korey, Brett, Lindsay, Tristan, Bradey, Peyton, and Kaden; and great-grandchildren, Prudence, Rox, James, Rhiannon, Nova, Zachariah, Oliver, Hyde, Harlow, Scottie, Greyson, and Kyler, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Harold Phillips, mother, Lea Baier and stepfather, Jim Baier; her sister Fran Beetler, and two brothers, Larry Kennicut and Jimmy Rhoda, as well as many close friends.
A visitation service will be held on Thursday, February 12th from 5 to 7:00 PM at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, MO. The family asks everyone to come with loads of stories to tell, to honor Linda's memory.
Memorials are suggested in her memory to the Nevada Eagles Club, where Linda was a member for many years.
