Linda Lee (Jacuzzi) Emery

  Linda Lee Jacuzzi Emery, 72, died May 14, 2021 from complications of heart problems and autoimmune diseases. She was born August 11, 1948, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Clydia and Tullio Jacuzzi.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Nancy Davenport, her sister-in-law Patti Jacuzzi, her nephew Clay, her grandson Trystan, and great grandson Killy Schultz.

     Linda married Lynn Emery Thanksgiving of 1980 in Little Rock, AR. They owned and operated a Stained-Glass Shop for 10 years, then she worked for Planned Parenthood before becoming Executive Director of Rape Crisis in Little Rock, Arkansas. After moving to Nevada, Missouri in 2000, Linda worked for Moss House, and several other agencies working for disabled and disadvantaged youth and adults, before retiring and throwing all her efforts into quilting.

     Linda was an artist and devoted herself to creating beauty in both stained glass and quilts. She was a Master Quilter who loved to teach adults and youth. She has created hundreds of quilts and fabric works of art including the Galaxy of Roses Quilts that was a National Quilt Contest Winner.

    Linda inherited her father’s love of outdoors and gardening. She always had vast gardens of herbs, vegetables, and flowers. One of her favorite activities with her grandchildren was to be outside discovering the world. 

     Linda had a huge heart and brightened everyone’s world with her youthful inquisitive nature and wonderful sense of humor. She always saw the silver lining in situations, and was the quintessential hippie, and loved rock n roll. Lynn and Linda went to as many concerts as possible over the years, including Leo Kottke, Jethro Tull, Jimmy Buffet, Moody Blues, U2, Yes, Queen, and Elton John. The music playing during the service is representative of many of these concerts.

     She is survived by her husband Lynn Emery, her son Jim Emery, her daughter in love Nicole Emery, her daughter Jen Olvey, her son Adrian Bozeman, her grandchildren Gabe, Samantha and her husband Alex along with great-grandson Kalvin, Michael, David, Dominicand his wife Genesis, Justin, Alexa, and Zoie; as well as her siblings, Richard, Kathy and husband Larry, Jim and wife Marilyn, Jane and husband John, Andy and partner Shannon, Julie and husband Gary and Robert and wife Michelle, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was loved by friends and family and will be greatly missed.

     A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 a.m. May 19, 2021 at Ferry Funeral Home.

     The family suggests that friends plant a tree or flower in memory of Linda.
