Mary Jamsek Obituary

Mary Ann Jamsek, of Nevada, MO, passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 61.

Mary was born January 23, 1964, in Lawton, OK to Billy Ray and Ruth Marcella (Smith) Miller.  She was a graduate of Nevada High School in 1982. She was united in marriage to Roger Jamsek on March 23, 2014, and he passed on November 10, 2024.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting, collecting snow globes and antiques.  Mary loved animals and was a hard worker and very meticulous and detail oriented, but her grandchildren were her greatest joy.

Mary had a lively spirit, a kind soul and loved deeply for others. Mary was the kind of soul that could make people smile during their hardest moments. Mary was bold, fierce, fearless, intelligent, creative, caring, compassionate and even rebellious at times during her lifetime. Mary was always so supportive of those who dreamt big. Mary loved listening to music, and very much enjoyed dance parties with her girls and grandchildren. Mary was considered a clean freak, and loved to clean. Mary served as the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor at Community Springs Nursing Home in El Dorado Springs for many many years. Mary always went above and beyond her call of duty for each employment she endured during her life. Mary loved to travel with her husband, Roger. Mary owned and operated an antique store, 3rd Hand Treasures, located in Osceola, MO with her husband. Mary was very family oriented. Family meant everything to her. She was always so proud to be the daughter of Bill and Ruth Miller. Mary was her Momma's best friend and her Daddy's little girl. Mary adored and was so proud of the men that her brothers, Bill and David had become. Mary loved her sisters in marriage, Robin and Tricia. Mary would always state that she couldn't have asked for better women to marry her little brothers. Mary was a wonderful Mother, who raised her daughters to be just like her. Mary was always so proud of her girls, and loved them deeply. Mary had many nieces and nephews that she adored. The title Grandma is one she wore proudly and cherished. Mary's grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mary left a huge impact on those around her. Mary will be missed by so many and is loved by us all.

Mary is survived by her children, Dottie Hemrick and her husband George, El Dorado Springs, MO, Ruth Cook and her husband Adam, El Dorado Springs, MO, Robert Laueness, NY, and Roger Jamseck, Osceola, MO; her parents, Billy and Ruth Miller, Nevada, MO; two brothers, David Miller and his wife Tricia, Nevada, MO and Billy Miller and his wife Robin, Nevada, MO; grandchildren, Gracie, Haylie, Cameron, Peyton, Zach, Ben, River, Colby and Caleb.
