Mechelle Renee Jones

      Mechelle Renee Jones, age 55, of Nevada, MO, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, MO after a short battle with cancer.

     Mechelle was born December 25, 1966, in La Habra, CA. to Robert Virgil and Anna Mae (Boyd) Jones, and grew up in California. She has lived in Nevada for the past 15 year and she had worked as a housekeeper at area nursing homes. She was a football fan, especially the Green Bay Packers, and loved going to the beach with her family

     Mechelle is survived by a son, Robert Rockstad and his wife, of Whittier, CA; two brothers, Wallace Jones and his wife Jerri, and Herbert Jones, all of Nevada, MO; a sister, Mary Brinson and her husband Doug, of Frontenac, KS; one grandchild, Ava Rockstad; several nieces and nephews, as well as two special friends, Brenda Galviz and Bonnie Wilson.

     Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister-in-law, Mary Jones.

     The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Ferry Funeral Home.  She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Newton Burial Park, in a private service.

     Memorials are suggested to the family with the funeral home serving as custodian.
