Megan Mayabb

    Megan Mayabb, 51, of Nevada, MO and formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024.  Megan was born on November 12, 1972, in Kansas City, MO.

    She attended St. Elizabeth’s Catholic School from 1st thru 3rd grade.  Her family then moved to Leawood, KS where she attended Corinth Elementary, Mission Valley Middle School, and graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School.  This is where, through integrated studies, she increased her love of cooking which began her career in the culinary world.

    Megan is survived by her parents, Charles E. Mayabb and Monica (Kevin) McGrath; brothers, Justin Mayabb, Kevin (Melissa) McGrath II, Michael McGrath; and sisters, Maureen (Brad) Douglass, Erin Mayabb; and 2 nieces and 6 nephews.

    A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 4:00-6:00 PM at WoodYard Barbeque, 3001 Mirriam Lane, Kansas City, KS.

    Megan always loved a good party, a Jack Black with Coke, and the camaraderie of family and friends.  She brought joy into our lives and others in so many ways.  She will be forever missed and loved!
