Norman Eugene Dobbs

     Norman Eugene Dobbs, 82, Nevada, MO passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO following a brief illness. Norman was born June 12, 1940 in Bakersfield, CA to James W. and Pearl (Bradshaw) Dobbs. He married Bernita Boehs in Ft. Scott, KS and to this union two sons were born. She preceded him in death. He later married Doris E. Thomas and she survives of the home.

     Norman was raised in California and moved to Nevada in the mid 1970’s. He worked for Fram Corporation from 1977 until its closing, a total of 25 years. Following his retirement, he worked in maintenance at the Community Center in Nevada.

     In addition to his wife Doris, he is survived by two sons, Scott Dobbs, Nevada, and Jason Dobbs, Kansas City, MO; two grandchildren, Angelia Dobbs, and Noelle Dobbs; and a half-sister, Christine Dobbs of California. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Pastor Roger Beach officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park in Nevada. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home.
