Patricia Taft, 85, Lamar, MO, passed away on May 31, 2025 in her home surrounded by her family. Patricia, the daughter of Rockford Otto and Eunice Pauline (Reynolds) Weste was born on October 18, 1939. She was united in marriage to Leo J. Taft on November 2, 1957 in Miller, MO and he preceded her in death on April 4, 2009.
Patricia lived in the Kansas City area while growing up. She later moved along with her family to the Sheldon area where she graduated from Sheldon High School with the Class of 1957. Patricia was primarily a homemaker. She loved gardening, bread making, US History, and her dogs and cats. The simple things of life made her happy. Patricia was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nevada.
Survivors include five children: Debra Fitzpatrick (Rick), Lamar, MO, Janice Bridges (John), Sheldon, MO, Rocky Taft (Becky), Hartshorn, MO, Crystal Reynolds (Harvey), Kingsville, MO, and Julie Casey (Steve), Sheldon, MO; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a half-sister, Arlene White.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at the Taft Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
