Richard Eugene Myers

     Richard Eugene Myers, 81, Nevada, MO, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Richard was born October 10, 1942 in Denver, CO to Richard M. and Mamie M. (McKinney) Myers. He married Joyce Elaine Cain on September 21, 1972 in Nevada and she preceded him in death on August 19, 2021.

     In his early years, Richard lived in Denver then came with his family to Nevada. He graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1960.  For 25 years he worked at 3M Nevada in maintenance until his retirement in 2001. Richard also worked as a small engine mechanic for many years. He was a lifetime member of the BPO Elks #564 in Nevada. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

     Survivors include a son, Phillip Myers, Walker; three grandchildren, Steven Myers, Samantha Myers, and Shannon Myers; and one great-granddaughter, Bella Myers. In addition to his wife Joyce, he was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Erik E. Myers in 2001.

     Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Worsley Cemetery in Bronaugh with Scotty Pritchett officiating. Friends may call now and until noon on Monday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.

     Memorials are suggested in his name to Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
