Ronald Melvin Stanley

     Ronald “Melvin” Stanley, 58, Nevada, MO passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, MO. Melvin was born January 1, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to Ronald E. and Sarah K. (Cox) Stanley.

     Melvin was raised in Nevada. He was a musician and played in several bands as a drummer and guitarist. Most of his life, he worked as a laborer.

     Survivors include one daughter, Sarah, California; mother, Sarah Cox, Nevada; great-aunt, Pat Puckett, Nevada; nephew, Nathaniel Taylor, Aurora; niece, Ashlyn Taylor, Nevada;  aunt, Donna Newton, Nevada; uncle, George Puckett, Nevada; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father

     Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21, 2020 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park.
