Rosemary Waltz 73 formerly of Nevada, passed away at the Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehab in Springfield, MO following a lengthy illness. Rosemary was born on June 28, 1951 in Nevada to Charles and Lucy (Moore) Waltz. She grew up in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School with the class of 1969. She was a homemaker and also worked in housekeeping at the Moore-Few Care Center for over 15 years. Rosemary has spent the past 15 years living in Springfield. She formerly attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada.
Family was the most important thing in Rosemary’s life. She loved the times spent with her family and especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Eric Waltz of Battlefield, MO, two daughters, Amanda Waltz of St. Robert, MO and Julie Hampton and her husband Charles of Springfield, four grandchildren, Ethan Waltz, Landon Waltz, Alexcia Hampton, and Natalia Hampton, her sister, Lenora Marshall of Holton, KS, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Frances Ellifrits and Louise Bennett, three brothers , Sam Devore, Roy Whalen, and Charles Waltz.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
