Ruth “Beverly” Ayers, 82, Nevada, MO passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021.

Born June 27, 1938 in WaKenney, KS, to the late Chester Allyen and Georgia Irene (Schuman) Stephens. The family relocated from WaKenney to Walker, MO in 1948.

Beverly grew up on the family farm developing a lifelong passion for animals, especially horses and cats.

She was a lifelong worker, retiring from the State Hospital to enjoy hobbies such as golf and quilting.

Beverly is survived by one son Stephen Mabry (Nevada, MO), one granddaughter, Maddison and husband Tanner May (Galena, MO), one sister, Phyllis Doberer (Belton, MO). She is preceded in death by her husband, Keith Ayers, parents Chester and Georgia Stephens, and one brother, Arthur Stephens.

Per Beverly’s wishes, there will be no formal service or memorial. Private Committal will be held in the National Cemetery in Ft. Scott. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home.
