Ruth Anna Ewing

     Ruth Anna Ewing, 101, of Nevada, MO passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Foxwood Springs Senior Living Community in Raymore, MO. Ruth was born February 5, 1924 in Pittsburg, KS to Joe and Gertrude (Frye) Scott. She married Warren Loy and he preceded her in death. She then married Walt Ewing on July 10, 1959, in Miami, OK and he also preceded her in death in January of 2009.

     Ruth was born and raised in Pittsburg, KS. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1941. Ruth lived most of her adult life in Nevada where she worked as a tax accountant for Novak & Owen Accounting for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nevada.

     Survivors include her daughter, Jean Ewing, Raymore; a granddaughter, Brandon Loy; numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Loy; one brother, Joe H. Scott; three sisters, Jerome Kempf, Marjorie Harmon, and Rhoda Schellenburger; and a grandson, Warren Loy, II.

     A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 to 3:00 pm, May 16, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Nevada, MO.
