Sharon Rebecca Keim

     Sharon Rebecca Keim, 74, Harwood, MO passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs. Sharon was born December 6, 1948 in Minneapolis, MN to Leonard A. and Illa May (Higgins) Jones. She married Larry Lee Keim on July 2, 1968 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2020.

     Sharon was born in Minnesota but moved with her family at a young age to Albuquerque, NM where she later graduated from high school. Following her marriage to Larry, the couple moved to rural Vernon County, MO, where she enrolled in the Nursing Program at Cottey College in Nevada and obtained her LPN license. Throughout her life, Sharon worked both in hospitals and in nursing homes. In addition to nursing, she was also a homemaker and mother who enjoyed caring for her home and family. Sharon loved using her digital sewing machine, cooking and baking, crocheting, and reading romance as well as mystery novels.

     Survivors include her daughter, Dawn Keim (Don Driver), Harwood; a son, Richard Keim; four grandchildren, Brittany Keim, Samantha Brown, Brandon Culp, and Alex Culp; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Larry.   

     Graveside memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dederick.
